At BioReliance, we are committed to innovation. It is evident in our history and continues to be part of our “DNA”. Our proud legacy is made manifest today in BioReliance’s Genomic Services division – the first in our industry. Genomic Services is focused on exploring innovative methods, developing novel assays for analyzing biologically based therapeutics and providing these services to our clients in a timely manner.
Our Genomic Services division is comprised of a group of researchers with extensive experience in the development and application of nucleic acid technologies to the fields of pharmaceutical and diagnostic development. These individuals are then paired with the latest “next generation” technologies to build platforms for the safety testing of biopharmaceuticals, both in the manufacturing and clinical development settings.
Today, utilizing our MP-Seq™ (massively parallel sequencing) platform, we are able to provide testing services designed to detect potential adventitious agents that might be present in novel cell substrates. We are also capable of sequencing the genomes of cells, microbes and viruses in as rapid a manner as possible and with a depth of sequence coverage that is nearly 10 times better than what was previously feasible. We also have the capability to apply our knowledge of nucleic acid sequencing and detection methods to the analysis of samples from clinical trials to characterize virus populations during infection, determine the sequence of break-out mutations, and determine the single-nucleotide polymorphism composition of a patient sample – all in an ultra high-throughput manner. At the moment, we provide these services as custom projects, tailored specifically to a client’s needs and specifications. These projects are carried out as non-GLP/GMP studies. In the future, we will be offering numerous Genomic Services assays to GLP and GMP standards.
