Immunocytochemistry
Immunocytochemistry is the process of localizing antigens in biological tissues and cells using target-specific antibodies. The most typical antigens identified by immunocytochemistry are proteins, but lipids and other cellular constituents can also be localized by light, fluorescence and electron microscopy.  Immunohistochemistry refers to the process as applied to tissues.

BioReliance has extensive experience developing both immunocytochemical and immunohistochemical assays for many applications including the detection of biomarker expression in cellular and tissue specimens and tissue cross reactivity studies for the development of monoclonal antibody therapeutics.
