Cross-reactivity studies are used to determine whether an antibody for medicinal or diagnostic use displays any ‘unintentional’ binding (other than to the target antigen) in a range of human tissues. BioReliance cross-reactivity assays are customized for individual antibodies and are tested on sets of over 30 different snap-frozen human tissues, each in triplicate from three different donors.
