The manufacturing facility in Glasgow, Scotland is licensed to manufacture and test a range of biological active substances under contract for EU clinical trials, in accordance with the European Union (EU) Clinical Trials Directive 2001/20/EC.
BioReliance's extensive experience with viral vectors results in a significant advantage in understanding the unique requirements of this fast moving field. As well as providing manufacturing programs for gene therapy products, BioReliance also offers production of viral vaccine products.
Experience includes:
- Production of clinical grade vaccines and gene therapy products for human and veterinary use
- Production of retrovirus, adenovirus, vaccinia, sendai, herpesvirus and baculovirus
- Production technologies such as roller bottles, cell factories, T-flasks, bioreactors and cell cubes
- Purification technology which includes depth and tangential flow filtration, sucrose and cesium chloride gradient ultracentrifugation and a range of chromatography systems
