Benefits (for US employees)

BioReliance is committed to providing quality benefit options.  BioReliance believes in making an impact not only within our industry, but also with our employees.  With that in mind, the BioReliance Benefits Plan is designed to recognize the diverse needs of our workforce.  Our plan continues to:

Below is a summary of the benefit options available to all BioReliance employees effective with the first day of employment.  

Medical Coverage Options
The BioReliance medical coverage is provided through CareFirst Blue Cross Blue Shield.  Additional details of the plans are provided during new hire orientation.

Dental Coverage
The comprehensive dental plan is provided by Delta Dental of Pennsylvania.

Vision Coverage
The vision plan is provided by Vision Service Plan (VSP). 

Life, AD&D, Supplemental Life, Voluntary AD&D, Short-Term Disability and Long-Term Disability Coverage
The Life and Disability plans are provided by Lincoln National. 
Basic Life Insurance (100% Company-paid)
Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance (100% Company-paid)
Short-Term Disability (STD) (100% Company-paid)
Long-Term Disability (LTD) (100% Company-paid)
– Supplemental Life
– Voluntary Accidental Death & Dismemberment

401(k) Plan
The BioReliance 401(k) Plan is provided by Fidelity Investments offering a variety of funds, including lifestyle funds, bonds, etc.  You are eligible to enroll into your 401(k) anytime after you receive your first paycheck.    You are able to contribute between 1-75% of your earnings towards your 401(k) to the IRS annual maximum contribution limit.

Flexible Spending Accounts
The Health Care and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts is administered by PayFlex.  This plan allows you to set aside a yearly maximum of $5,000 pre-tax for reimbursement of health care expenses and a separate yearly maximum of $5,000 pre-tax for reimbursement of dependent day care expenses.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
The EAP plan is provided by Horizon Health. 
Employee Assistance Program

  • Free, confidential referral and counseling services 
  • Eight face-to-face sessions per incident per year
  • Available to employees, dependents and household members
  • Assists with:
    • Interpersonal and family relationships
    • Stress
    • Conflicts at work
    • Substance abuse

Voluntary Group Legal Plan
The group legal plan provides you, your spouse, and dependents with access to legal services at a low monthly fee.

Health Advocate
The Health Advocate plan provides the following services:

  • Resolving outstanding insurance claims issues and billing problems
  • Working with healthcare providers and insurance companies to facilitate the provision of covered services
  • Assisting with eldercare and related healthcare issues facing parents and parents-in-law
  • Obtaining unbiased health information to help you make an informed decision
  • Locating & researching the newest treatments for a medical condition.


Benefits (for UK employees)

Pension
The BioReliance pension scheme is open to all UK BioReliance employees, who reside in the United Kingdom. You are eligible to enroll anytime after 3 months employment.  Employee contribution is 4.5%.

Life Assurance
The BioReliance life assurance coverage is provided through Canada Life Assurance and is fully paid for by the company.  Additional details of the plans are provided during new hire induction.

Private Healthcare Insurance
The BioReliance private healthcare/medical coverage is provided through AXA PPP Healthcare insurance.  Additional details of the plans are provided during new hire induction.

Employee Well Being Program
BioReliance Employee Well Being Program is available to all employees and immediate family members as long as they live in the same household:

• An interactive healthy lifestyles website
• Telephone Support

Child Care Vouchers
BioReliance offers all eligible working parents with Busy Bees Childcare Vouchers. Childcare Vouchers are non-taxable and exempt from National Insurance contributions for employees, whilst offering NI savings for employers. Childcare Vouchers are the recognized payment method for registered careers.
